DYNAMIC TESTIMONIALS
Christine G2023-09-13 I trained here when I was a teenager until my 20's. Only stopped because I don't live in the area and the commute is too long. But if I am ever in the area, I always stop by. They are like family to me. Sensei Paul is amazing, caring, patient and all the great characteristics you want in a teacher. I have been to other schools since and was not happy with the quality of training. They usually rush you through the belts to keep you. Sensei Paul and team will work with you to be good.. like actually learning the right way and perfecting the technique vs rushing you. Grigori Temkine2023-05-17 I have been a member of Dynamic Martial Arts for almost 20 years. I am happy that I have trained here, improved my spirit, and my karate skills. Friendly, professional, impressive. Love it. Bianca Chan2023-05-07 This dojo is a safe place where people of all ages can learn and grow as people. If anyone I knew wanted to start karate I would 100% suggest this dojo. R3DIEE2023-05-06 Throughout my years of training at this dojo, I've learned many things like the result of hard work and effort, to stay positive and persevere whenever you're learning something new and how to build confidence. And I am/was able to learn these things with the guidance and help of the many sensei that are at this dojo. I am incredibly grateful and thankful that in every step of the way they corrected me on anything I did wrong, no matter how big or small; always being straightforward and honest. Without them, I wouldn't be at the level I am today. And because of their efforts and extra steps of connecting their teachings to life, for example through practice, repetition and hard work you'll eventually get better at whatever it is you're doing, helped me become a better person. In addition, they are incredibly kind, pure and passionate in what they do, always willing to answer any questions/clarifications you have. Thank you Sensei! Demetri Vrantsidis2023-05-04 Great classes! Informative instruction. Highly recommend to those seeking training! Nailah Ramsoomair2022-09-13 I started training at Dynamic Martial Arts when I was 7 years old. It has not only been a place for me to train, but also a second home. I grew up in the dojo. The instructors are not just there to teach you Karate, but also to teach you fundamental life skills to thrive and succeed in life. I am 27 years old right now, and I would not only be the lawyer that I am, but the person I have become, without the guidance and support of the instructors at Dynamic Martial Arts. It is a place I will always call home, a safe space I know I can always run back to, and instructors that are my greatest supporters and my family. I owe everything to the time and mentorship I received at Dynamic Martial Arts. Daniel Lam2022-08-13 I have been training at Dynamic Martial Arts for over 5 years now, and I am very grateful for the opportunities and experiences I have gone through at this dojo. Sensei Paul as well as the other sensei's are all great people and I have learned lots from them. One thing I feel DMA does differently is train students to work hard for their belts, instead of rushing the process which is what I find when I ask other students at other dojos. The sensei's take thier time to teach you proper technique and perfect it. I look forward to the future, training and growing with the Dynamic Martial Arts family.Google rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 26 reviews

Tai chi is an ancient martial art once performed by Taoist monks. It belongs to a huge, long-established system of exercises known collectively as chi kung (also written as qigong). Chi kung exercises are often used to warm up the body and enhance the flow of chi (energy) before practising tai chi.
Tai chi is a series of postures that are performed in a smooth flowing manner; originally used for self-defence. Rooted in principles from 4000 years ago, this ancient art is now practised throughout the world by people of all ages and levels of physical fitness. Some of the reasons to practice tai chi are: greater posture; flexibility; stress relief; increased confidence; a healthy old age. Scientific studies in the West have found that tai chi has helped reduce blood pressure in older people and the incidence of falls (by improving balance).
There are 5 major styles of tai chi: Chen, Yang, Wu (Hao), Wu and Sun. Each style is named after the Chinese family that taught it. Chen style is the oldest and Sun is the most recent. At Dynamic Martial Arts we practice Yang style.
